Ely with the Pennocks

While my parents were visiting, we stayed close to home as well. We so appreciated their help with watching Charlotte, as well as doing some packing and house-prepping activities, as we got ready to move to our new house here in England. We did get out one day to visit the town of Ely. Charlotte and I had visited Ely last May with Paul's parents, but it was nice to see it again -- especially decorated for Christmas.

We ate at a pub in town, then enjoyed walking around the cathedral and seeing the Stained Glass Museum, which is on an upper story of the cathedral. Charlotte was particulary enamored with the clock on the outside of the entry tower -- she knows that "steeples" often have clocks, and is always on the lookout!

Gorgeous Christmas tree and Nativity scene. Charlotte kept asking to see "Baby Jesus."
