House 2

The second house we looked at was in the small village of Woodhurst. It is an L-shaped house, with a nice enclosed garden behind the wall in the foreground of the picture. It is located on one of the main streets in town, right across from an old church. The realtor warned us before we drove to the house that it has had some trouble with "damp" -- meaning there were a few rooms with mildew/mold since the owners left for Singapore several months ago. She assured us that contractors had been called to take care of the issue. [Sorry the formatting is odd in this post, I had to rearrange the pictures and I don't know how to fix it]

One of the bedrooms affected by the "damp."

The den/family room downstairs

The more formal living room, with electric fireplace.

Sunroom, with windows on 2 walls facing the garden (shades were all drawn for this picture).

The kitchen -- lots of cabinet space, unusual cooking top with 5 separate oven spaces. (Confusing!)

Looking back the other direction through the kitchen.

Very nice utility room with washer/dryer and full sized fridge already in place.

Top of the steps already had a baby gate in place. The door straight ahead led to the room pictured above with the "damp."

Another bedroom, with wardrobe.

Family bath

Nursery room. Charlotte knew it was a kid's room and kept saying "ooh!" while pointing at the wallpaper border.

Master bedroom

Master bath (hard to see, but included shower stall/sink/toilet).
